How this guide library works

Key art cast of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the game this guide library documents.

This guide library separates confirmed game structure from advice that depends on player testing. Capcom and official platform sources can establish the release date, platforms, named combat systems, demo terms, and broad mission structure. They cannot establish a universal parry window, the best upgrade order, a complete boss strategy, or every collectible location without repeatable checks in the retail build.

Each guide therefore carries its own evidence boundary on the page. Structure and hardware pages lean on official sources with checked dates. Advice pages publish the method and the drills now, and they attach measured numbers, windows, and routes as the documented gameplay behind them completes.

Available now

A misty bridge between Kyoto districts in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the routes the guides map out.

The library opens with two source-backed explainers. Is Onimusha: Way of the Sword open world? reconciles the mission-led description with the wider, increasingly explorable Kyoto shown in official previews. The official PC system requirements record both specification tiers, the SSD and DirectX 12 rules, DLSS 4.5 and FSR 3.1 support, and the current DRM status with its checked date.

Seven launch guides extend the set:

  • Benchmark & PC performance — official targets plus the protocol every measured result will follow.
  • Game length — run categories, counting rules, and how tested clear times will publish.
  • Beginner guide — the five systems to learn first and the early mistakes that cost the most.
  • Combat guide — parry, deflect, Issen, Break Issen, and the soul-driven loop that ties them together.
  • Weapons — the reference structure for Oni Armaments, unlocks, and upgrades.
  • Boss guide — confirmed encounters plus the six-question format every strategy must pass.
  • Walkthrough — the mission-led route format with spoiler controls.

The review runs on the same standard: it assesses combat, bosses, exploration, story, performance, and value after a documented full playthrough, and it states its evidence on every section until then. For people and enemies, use the character registry and boss registry.

The evidence rule

Strategy numbers do not appear before the gameplay that produces them. That is why the benchmark page ships a protocol before frame counts, the length page ships counting rules before hours, and the boss guide ships a format before full strategies. When tested results land, they publish inside these pages with the game version, difficulty, and date attached, so every claim stays checkable.

Evidence rule: factual records publish from first-party sources. Measured advice publishes only after its steps, windows, and conditions have been reproduced in-game.
